General Volunteer Opportunities
Columbia Dance is always on the lookout for groups or individuals who are interested in increasing the vitality of the organization and the community through volunteer work. Volunteer time commitments are flexible and will vary depending on event schedules and organizational needs.
Columbia Dance is currently recruiting volunteers to assist with:
- Fundraising efforts
- Promoting the organization within the community
- Supporting organizational operations
Columbia Dance is seeking volunteers who:
- Have the desire to fully understand and support the mission and purpose of the organization
- Wish to actively participate in a collaborative manner with Columbia Dance management, staff and other volunteers
- Will attend performances, community events, workshops and fundraisers while actively promoting the mission of Columbia Dance
- Are willing to develop skills to be a more effective volunteer

Join the Columbia Dance Guild
Individuals who are interested in a long-term, very involved volunteer commitment are encouraged to become members of the Columbia Dance Guild. Guild members are the backbone of Columbia Dance, providing the critical support needed for the ongoing growth and vitality of the organization.
The Columbia Dance Guild provides ongoing organizational support in a variety of areas:
- Office staffing
- Performance related activities including costume design and fabrication; box office, concessions and front-of-house support; assistance with lighting and sound needs; and, set design and construction
- Marketing activities including promotional material distribution and ticket sales
- Special fundraising activities (i.e., The Columbia Dance Annual Auction)
Many hands make a light load!
Guild members help us with both our big and small projects. Opportunities to help are matched with the amount of time you have available to share. Some projects may even be done at home.
